“…now to appear in the presence of God for us:” Hebrews 9:24
What a blessing it is that Jesus approaches God for us. I love that in Hebrews 4:15, Jesus is our High Priest who can sympathise with all our infirmities, which makes Him the rightful person to represent us.

In Luke 7:36, a Pharisee by the name of Simon invited Jesus to a feast in his home. Among the attendees was a woman by the name of Mary Magdalene,
who anointed Jesus' feet with costly fragrant oil, then dried them with her tears and hair.
Simon, knowing who this woman was, said to Jesus that if You were a prophet, You would never have allowed this woman to touch you, for she is a sinner.
Jesus did not push Mary Magdalene away, because He "knew the circumstances that had shaped her life." (Ellen G. White) If you did not know, it was Mary Magdalene whom Jesus cast out seven devils at seven different times. Mary Magdalene was the same woman caught in the act of adultery, and it was Mary Magdalene who first proclaimed the resurrection of Jesus.
Jesus never grew weary of showing compassion and mercy to her, and neither has He with you.
Revelation 12:10 describes the devil coming down with great wrath and accusing us before God day and night. The truth is, all the devil has to say about me is true, and in no way can I defend myself. If I was left speak on my own behalf, I would only make the claims of the devil even more true. But thanks be to God for sending His Son, who intercedes for me. Although, I come before the throne of God with nothing good in me, the blood of Jesus speaks on my behalf in ways I never could.
