Like A Fountain

There are times in life when I wish God would speak as loud as thunder or be clear as the sunlight. I wish He would say a whole bunch of words that would excite me at once, but however, He does the opposite, He offers me small phrases and says, “that is sufficient for you.”
He gives me little sentences to deal with my pain, and says, “that will feed you for the journey ahead.” But why does He do that?
He does that because He has already shown me His love by the breath I breathe, yet I fail to be thankful. He does that because He covers me with the blue sky, and still I doubt Him. So for that reason, even if He was to be any louder than the small phrases or sentences, He knows I still would not trust Him anymore.
Therefore, He suffers me to have little comfort here and there, so that when I am in great need, He will pour it out to me like a fountain.
