Power You Cannot Yet See

After work on Tuesday, my phone was out of power. I put it on charge expecting it to turn on within sixty seconds, but the phone eventually turned on after three minutes.
I asked myself, what lesson I could learn from this?
Have you been trying to connect yourself with God? Have you expected to have power that you lack? Have you asked yourself, why does the transformation you desire take so long?
When my phone did not turn on after it was put on charge, I assumed the charger was the problem, but little did I know, the entire time my phone was charging, and it finally turned on at three percent.
I thank God for the times when I think I am ready for something, but He withholds it, because He sees that I am small in knowledge and weak in strength to be entrusted with what He intends to give me. Maybe instead of fretting over what you do not have, or is not working, turn your complaining into praise for what you do not see, but for the circumstances He has allowed that are preparing you.
I love the words of A.W. Tozer, a man who knew what it meant to live in the presence of God
“I have noticed many times in my own life that God allows me to go in a certain direction that l am not fond of because He has a higher intent in mind for me. God could not do to Moses what was needed to be done while he was still in Egypt. It took forty years in the mountains for God to clean Moses from Egypt's influence and prepare him for what lay ahead.”
So too, dear reader, God may very well be leading you in a path that feels draining. Yet it is all working for your eternal transformation. Just as a man who wants to build muscle goes to lift weights that resist his effort, so too God places us in situation that seem to be against us, but are preparing us to be fit for His calling.
