When You Step Forward, Strength Follows

I have noticed that in the last three days at work, I have been more tired than usual and, in those moments, I have taken tasks that demanded energy that I did not have. Then all a sudden, strength I never knew I possessed appeared.

Did you know that we all have energy that are sleeping ready to be activated.
My tiresome week reminds me of a story I read from Ellen G. White.
A man was journeying on a cold, snowy day, exhausted and overcome by the snow. Just when he was about to give up, in the distance he heard the cry of someone who was in the same situation, and immediately his energies were aroused to rescue him. He reached the man and after much effort, he was able to raise his legs that had been buried in the snow, however, his legs seemed to be paralysed and could not walk, so He carried him in his arms through the heavy snow. In saving his neighbour, he saved himself as well. Energy he did not know he had was activated, when he went to help another.
I have noticed that every time I return from work, I feel tired to write a blog, but after I finish exercising, all of a sudden the energy to write that I thought I never had appears.
This experience reminds me of Isaiah 40:29-31
“He gives power to the weak,
And to those who have no might He increases strength.
Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall;
But those who wait on the LORD Shall renew their strength…”
God has power for you if you feel too weak to continue this journey. I appreciate that in verse thirty, God acknowledges there will be a time when we will grow tired and weary, however, those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength.
Notice the text indicates, those who fix their mind on God, implying they trust God knows how much strength they need. And even if He remains silent, nevertheless, they keep near Him, because God alone knows, how much strength they need to still keep them near His throne of mercy. I thank God for times when I have asked for strength, but He has denied giving it, because He knows I would have gone down in a path He disapproves.
However, when we want to share Him to others, but feel we do not have the energy, God will never refuse to give us the strength needed to go forward. Despite how you feel, move forward, because in so doing, you activate the energy that was always there.

Many times we are looking for the energy, motivation or strength from within. Then we end up finding it by putting others first. The times that we are acting and thinking selflessly, we often end up unwittingly helping ourselves. In bettering others, we better ourselves.
Phillipians 2:4 - "Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others."
